AQUA BIKE is NEW in 2016
Aqua Bike will follow the first 2 legs of the Half and finish.
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Aqua Bike: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike
Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run
The swim is at beautiful Paradise Park in Chisago Lake. Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed. (Swim cut-off is 1 hr and 10 minutes after you start)
Bike Course The bike course has a few rollers, mainly flat. The run goes through charming residential streets with community support and several water stations. (Bike cut-off is 4 hrs after you start)
Both run courses follow residential roads. Roads are well kept and flat. (Run cut-off is 3.5 hrs after you start)
QUICK BIKE SAFETY CHECK CAN BE DONE AT FOREST CYCLE AND SKATE TENT the morning of the event. Fairview Lakes Health Services will be providing excellent medical coverage for the weekend. We will have massage therapists on hand for the Half Ironman.
There is parking a few blocks from Paradise Park at Fairview Chisago Lakes Clinic, 11725 Stinson Ave. Parking is also available on side streets. Half Ironman participants may park at the Chuckie Lindquist Park across the street from Paradise Park.
Awards will be given to the first overall female and male winners of the Half Iron and Sprint.
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.
Medals are awarded to the Half finishers.

We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a Dri-fit SHIRT, swim cap, food and fun after the event.
Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in. Each mile on the run courses will be marked. All courses will have highly visible signage for each turn. The long bike course will have aid stations and bottle exchange. There will also be plenty of aide stations along the run course.
Transition area is guarded at all times.

Get a front row seat as a volunteer! Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food.
