Parking

At 6am on Sunday, the park closes to incoming vehicles, so you will be required to park at the Croton-Harmon train station (1 mile from race site). The MTA parking fee is $5.00 per vehicle for the entire day, collected as you enter the lot. The park reopens at 8:30am to traffic, however, the lots inside the park may already be full and you will be directed to park at the train station.
If parked at the station, you will need to ride your bike into the transition area (1 mile). Spectators and volunteers may use the shuttle buses running 6am – 2pm, however no bikes are allowed on the buses. If you are racing and plan on arriving after 6am on race morning, then we highly suggest checking your bike in on Saturday from 1pm – 7pm, get your race packet and get your body marked. The only thing you have to do on Sunday then, would be to bring your race bag and pick up your timing chip.

If traveling by train:

The earliest train arrival on race morning from Grand Central Station is 7:28AM which is past the race start time. Therefore, you would have to either rent a Zip Car or carpool with other NYC athletes if you want to depart on Sunday. Alternatively, you can travel up to Westchester on Saturday and reserve a room at one of our recommended accommodations. Check MetroNorth Schedules and see below for guidelines on bringing a bicycle on the train.

Bicycles on Metro North Trains

An application for a lifetime bicycle permit can be made in person at Window 27 in Grand Central Terminal, or at any outlying staffed ticket office, or by mailing in the application. A bicycle permit shall be issued by Metro-North upon the completion of the application and payment of a $5.00 fee to cover administration expenses. Permits are issued immediately at Window 27 in Grand Central Terminal, or at any outlying staffed ticket office. For more information, please visit MTA online.
